The 27-year-old central defender has said that Bielsa is not too close to the players, and that he is an honest coach.
The former Hull City and Chesterfield defender has also admitted that when he was younger, he was not too serious during training, but he is changed now.
Cooper told The Telegraph about Bielsa: “His relationship with the players, you could call it, stand offish.
“He doesn’t want to get too close, he’s an honest coach and is going to say things that are going to disappoint and maybe upset players, but he wants to get the best out of us. That’s his way, I think it’s a great way.”
The defender added: “I’ve been a young lad and I’ve had those days when you turn up to training and don’t really fancy it. You can’t do that.
“If you do that in training, you’ll find the games pass you by as well. You will get found out at the weekend. I’ve been that guy, not again, that’s not for me.”
Promotion challenge
Leeds are second in the Championship table at the moment with 73 points from 37 matches, just two points behind leaders Norwich City and two points clear of third-placed Sheffield United.
The Whites will be confident of maintaining their current form until the end of the season and clinching the automatic promotion to the Premier League.
According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old has made 29 appearances in the Championship so far the season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process.
