Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips wants to play for England, just like Chelsea-owned Derby County ace Mason Mount.

Mount, who joined Championship side Derby on loan from Premier League club Chelsea in the summer transfer window, is part of the England squad for upcoming matches against Spain and Croatia.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who has represented England at the youth levels, has scored three goals in 12 Championship appearances for the Rams so far this season, according to WhoScored.
Leeds central midfielder Phillips believes that Mount getting the chance to play for England means that it is possible for him to turn out for the Three Lions as well, and he has also praised the teenager.
Phillips told Leeds Live: “As a young kid I’ve always looked at it. When I’ve been younger I’ve always been ‘I’d love to play for England one day’.
“It’s never really run through my mind and with them calling Mason Mount, who’s done really well, there’s always the possibility. I just, kind of, keep my head down and just get on with it.”

Stats
Phillips is one of the best young midfielders in the Championship and has been playing well for Leeds so far this season.
The 22-year-old has played a total of 946 minutes in the Championship for the West Yorkshire outfit so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
