Leeds United reportedly had reservations about signing Pierre-Michel Lasogga on loan from Hamburg this summer.

Leeds United were more than happy to welcome Pierre-Michel Lasogga’s newborn daughter into the world but were equally quick to remind their in-form centre-forward that he has a game on Tuesday to prepare for.
Leeds’ trip to face Cardiff City is arguably the biggest test of their promotion credentials under Thomas Christiansen with Neil Warnock’s high-flying side level on points at the top of the table.
With Lasogga’s fellow striker Caleb Ekuban out with injury, extra importance has been placed on the Hamburg loanee keeping himself fit and fresh ahead of the midweek trip to South Wales.

This, therefore, will only add to Lasogga’s popularity among a fanbase that has taken to him straight away. As reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds had doubts about the striker’s attitude before meeting with him permanently and discovering his burning desire to play for one of England’s most reputable clubs.

So far, Lasogga has paid back Leeds’ faith with interest, scoring three goals and setting up another in just four games in English football.
And Leeds’ chances of getting a result at Cardiff rest heavily on his burly shoulders. Supporters will just be hoping the new dad gets a fair bit of sleep in the next few days.
