Ezgjan Alioski is an important player in Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United team.

Leeds United winger Ezgjan Alioski has been quoted as saying by Leeds Live that he has improved under head coach Marcelo Bielsa.

The 27-year-old Macedonia international has played regularly for Leeds this season, and the winger has also been deployed at left-back on occasions.

The former Schaffhausen and Lugano star has said that Bielsa has made him a better player.

Leeds Live quotes Alioski as saying: “He is a manager who is a big name and he doesn’t let you think you are in first position in the table or good enough.

“You can learn many things from him and I think personally I have made so many steps forward – tactically, physically and in many other ways – which have changed me as a player. It is nice to have a person like this because in the future I think it will help us all.”

Important player

Alioski can be a frustrating player at times due to his end product, but the 27-year-old works hard for the team and runs a lot.

So far this season, the winger has made 32 appearances in the Championship for Leeds, scoring five goals and providing five assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

During the 2017-18 campaign, the Macedonia international made 40 starts and two substitute appearances in the league for the Whites, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Leeds are third in the Championship table at the moment with 61 points from 32 matches, two points behind Norwich City with a game in hand.
