Leeds United summer signing Ezgjan Alioski’s strike against Nottingham Forest in the Championship has been adjudged as the Goal of the Month.

Alioski made the comments after winning the Goal of the Month award for his strike against Nottingham Forest away from home at the City Ground on August 26.
The 25-year-old, who joined Leeds from Lugano in the summer transfer window, found the net in the 87th minute of the encounter with a stunning strike from 20 yards.
The goal was Leeds’s second in the match, as the West Yorkshire outfit picked up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 2-0 win.
Alioski has thanked his Leeds teammate for helping him score against Forest and has outlined his ambition to find the net more.

“I’m delighted to receive the award, especially as this was my first month in English football,” Alioski told The Yorkshire Post.
“However, we are a team at Leeds United and scoring the goal would not be possible without the hard work and dedication from my team-mates.
“I hope to score many more goals for Leeds, but this goal and this award is very special.”

Alioski has made a good start to the 2017-18 Championship campaign and has established himself as an important player in Thomas Christiansen’s team.
The winger has scored one goal and provided two assists in six league appearances for the Whites so far this season.
