The Leeds United midfielder has endured terrible luck with injuries this term.

Whites midfielder Eunan O’Kane sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and admitted that his current fitness levels are not where he expects them to be, highlighting the difficulty in suffering repeated injuries.
The 26-year-old made the move to Elland Road from Bournemouth on transfer deadline day last summer, and has since gone on to make 21 appearances for Garry Monk’s side in all competitions during a season that has been severely disrupted by injury.
The Republic of Ireland international will be looking to play a more telling role in his side’s hopes of achieving promotion to the Premier League now that he is slowly regaining his peak fitness levels.
He did admit, however, to his frustration at how long it seems to take him to return to his best after he has sustained an injury, when speaking to LUTV:
Leeds’ Eunan O’Kane
“I feel okay. I feel like a broken record at the minute; I talked about getting back to full fitness and then I was getting close to it and then got injured. The last number of weeks hasn’t been easy in terms of fitness levels. It’s hard to come back in after a while and get straight up to the pace. But I feel I am getting there and like I said before I got injured, the fitter I get the better I will become in my opinion. And there is still more to come from me.”
With Monk’s men flying high in fourth position in the Championship, the squad will truly believe that they can make a late push for the automatic promotion spots.
And if O’Kane can reach the levels he did before he suffered his injury, there is no reason why the Irishman cannot help propel Leeds’ late push for a place inside the top two.
