The 20-year-old, who is on-loan at Leeds from Premier League side Arsenal, bagged a hat-trick for his country as they secured a 5-1 win against Austria in a Euro 2021 qualifier last night.

Liverpool youngster Brewster came onto the field of play after the hour mark, as England’s youngsters ran riot at Stadium MK.

After the game, Nketiah sent this message to supporters from his personal Instagram account, whilst Brewster responded with a five-word message by saying: ‘Main man on fire tonight’:

Nketiah is yet to start a Championship game for Leeds this season, but he has still bagged four goals for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in all competitions this season.

He will be hoping his international outing with England is a message to his manager that he is ready to start games for Leeds.

At this moment in time, Patrick Bamford is ahead of him in the pecking order, as his all-round game and ability to bring others into the game is seemingly working in his favour under Bielsa’s system.

Leeds suffered a damaging and controversial defeat to Millwall last time out and upon their return to club action at the weekend, they will be taking on Birmingham City.

They are now managed by Pep Clotet, who was assistant to Garry Monk when he was managing the Elland Road outfit – he is now working for Sheffield Wednesday.
