Leeds United defender Conor Shaughnessy appears to be on the brink of an exit.
Edinburgh Live report Shaughnessy is being lined up by Hearts for a loan move.
Shaughnessy posted a picture on Instagram from Easter Road over the weekend, showing he had been at Hearts for talks.
A move is desperately needed for the former Reading trainee, who earned a first team spot at the start of the 2017/18 season under Thomas Christiansen.
He is not a player new boss Marcelo Bielsa has appeared keen on at all.
Bielsa has not selected Shaughnessy for a Championship game this season.
He picked him in Leeds’ short lived Carabao Cup campaign, where he was substituted at half-time in his only appearance.
The Irishman is 22-years-old and needs to get more competitive football under his belt.
In his career so far he has only played 15 matches as a professional. Sitting in the under-23s for another few months is not an option.
If he goes to Hearts on loan, he will improve himself, and whether it leads a future at Leeds or not, he will give himself more options for if and when he does depart permanently.
