Leeds United had been in a battle with Rangers for Ryan Kent, but now Marcelo Bielsa’s side may have a free run to sign the winger.

Leeds United’s hopes of signing Ryan Kent may have been boosted yesterday, as Steven Gerrard seemingly took Rangers out of the race to sign the Liverpool winger.
Rangers and Leeds have both been chasing Kent this summer, but it seems that Marcelo Bielsa’s side are now his only suitors.
Leeds Live have reported how Kent is Leeds only target for the remainder of the transfer window.
And if that is the case that Gerrard’s comments about the 22-year-old will be very encouraging for Leeds.
“Jurgen has come out and given the answer,” Gerrard said to the Scottish Sun.
“It has been addressed and we move on. Where we are right now, yes, that is the end of it.”

Rangers did appear to have an advantage over Leeds in the race to sign Kent, as the winger spent last season on loan at Ibrox and enjoyed his spell.
Kent has always suggested that he would be willing to go back to Rangers, but that option may have been taken off the table for him.
It is now up to Leeds to agree a fee with Liverpool, as their potential offer looks to be the best move on the table for the wide-man.
If Leeds did manage to get Kent it would improve the quality of their attack even further, with Bielsa already possessing one of the most dangerous front lines in the Championship.
