Leeds United forward Caleb Ekuban has been linked with a move away from Elland Road to join Trabzonspor.

Leeds United’s Caleb Ekuban suffered a nightmare at the African Cup of Nations last night, as he was the only player to miss a penalty for Ghana.

Ghana were beaten on spot kicks by Tunisia, and Leeds forward Ekuban was the man to miss from 12 yards.

The 25-year-old failed to beat the Tunisian goalkeeper in the shoot out, and was left in tears at full time as his nation crashed out of the competition.

Ekuban is now set to return to Leeds, where his future will surely be sorted sooner rather than later.

Sabah have reported how Trabzonspor are set to activate a clause in Ekuban’s loan which will allow them to buy him permanently from Leeds.

However, no official confirmation has taken place so far, with Ekuban still technically believed to be on Leeds’ books.

The forward appears to have no future under Marcelo Bielsa though, and now he is set to return from the African Cup of Nations, his move away from Leeds should go through soon.
