Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has admitted that he got served some rough treatment by Arsenal’s David Luiz and Gabriel on the Peter Crouch podcast.
Leeds have taken on Arsenal twice this term, and both matches have been hot tempered affairs.
When the two teams clashed at Elland Road, Nicolas Pepe picked up a red card for head butting Gjanni Alioski.
Leeds were then beaten 4-2 by the Gunners when they met at the Emirates Stadium.
And when asked which Premier League defenders he had come across that were masters of the dark arts, he picked out both of Arsenal’s centre-backs.
“I’ll tell you who was a bit like that, that Gabriel at Arsenal. I don’t know what his issue was,” Bamford said.
“And to be fair, David Luiz, who I knew through back in time at Chelsea. When we played them at Arsenal the first ball I kicked him on the ankle and it was accidental.

“I was like ‘sorry bro’ and he was like ‘don’t worry, don’t worry, it’s fine’. He was chatting to me.
“Next time he got the ball he absolutely clattered me. He didn’t just put me on the floor, he trampled all over me. I was like you dirty b*d. You’ve just told me it’s alright and we’re brothers!”
Gabriel and David Luiz actually haven’t started in many of Arsenal’s most recent games so they may be a slightly friendlier team to play against right now.
For all their physicality, the Brazilian pair actually haven’t had a particularly impressive defensive record at Arsenal this term either.
Mikel Arteta’s side have badly struggled in the Premier League, with Bamford’s Leeds side ahead of them in the standings, despite failing to win either of the games between the pair this term.
