Andrea Radrizzani suggests that Marcelo Bielsa will stay at Leeds United next season.
Bielsa was appointed the Leeds head coach in the summer of 2018 and has a contract with the Whites until the summer of 2020.
The Whites are in the Championship playoffs at the moment and will take on Derby County in the semi-finals.
Leeds fans will be worried that should the team fail to clinch promotion to the Premier League for the 2019-20 campaign, then Bielsa will leave the club.
The Championship club’s owner Radrizzani has suggested that Bielsa has told him that he does not plan to leave the club this summer irrespective of which division the team are in next season.
Radrizzani told The Times: “Every time I’ve spoken to Marcelo he’s expressed his intention to continue with the job, whatever happens.
“He’s already started working on next season, improving the facilities and integrating players from our under-23 squad. All the signs are that he wants to continue.
“The club have an option for another year of contract which we intend to take up, but in every relationship you need desire from both parties. The desire is there and at the right moment we will finalise things.”
