Leeds United are said to have made contact with Bristol City over signing Aden Flint.

According to the Daily Mirror, Leeds United have made contact over Aden Flint and his arrival at Elland Road could give Thomas Christiansen the best centre-back pairing in the Championship.

If Flint was to join Leeds he would likely be paired with Pontus Jansson, and the duo could form a formidable partnership.

Jansson has already won admirers for his no nonsense approach since joining Leeds, and Flint is of a similar mould.

The Bristol City centre-back is hugely powerful, and Jansson and him would surely dominate Championship forward lines physically.

Flint is likely to be a costly purchase for Leeds, but his arrival would give the Whites a feared backline.

With Gaetano Berardi also involved, Leeds would have an extremely robust defence. And that solid base could provide the foundation for Leeds to build their promotion bid around.

The Whites fell just short last term, but Flint’s arrival could be a difference maker, and Leeds would be making a very smart move by snapping up the Bristol City man.
