Leeds United have been linked with a move for Yosuke Ideguchi. According to a report in The Yorkshire Evening Post earlier this month, Leeds want to sign Ideguchi from Gamba Osaka in the January transfer window.

Negotiations over a deal to bring the 21-year-old central midfielder to Elland Road in January have reportedly already begun. The Sun has claimed that there is a £700,000 release clause in the youngster’s contract.

It is hard to predict whether Ideguchi would be a success at Elland Road. After all, the youngster is playing in Japan and is just 21 years of age.

The Japan international central midfielder, though, seems to be hugely ambitious, and if Leeds sign him, then they could be recruiting a youngster who wants to be the best player he can be.

According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Ideguchi has been learning English; he has also been quoted as saying by Hochi in Japan that he wants to go abroad and play in Europe (click here to read more).

It would take Ideguchi a while to get used to the pace and the rigours of English football, but the Elland Road faithful can rest assured that the Japan international will give his all to be a success at Leeds.
