The report has claimed that Leeds, Wolves and clubs in Spain and Portugal are interested in signing Couto this month.
Oldham are open to selling the ‘versatile left back’ this month, but the English club want the teenager to stay on loan for the rest of the season as part of any deal.
The 18-year-old left-back himself wants to see out the rest of the season at Oldham, according to the report.
The Oldham Athletic have added that the League Two club want £1 million in transfer fee, and that they rejected a bid from a Premier League outfit last week.
Leeds United or Wolverhampton Wanderers for Benny Couto?
In our view, Couto has to think long and hard about which club he should join next – Leeds or Wolves.
The 18-year-old has broken into the first team at Oldham and is playing pretty regularly now.

Couto has made 11 starts and two substitute appearances in League Two so far this season.
The Portuguese teenager has scored one goal and provided two assists in those games.
Would Couto get the same playing time at Leeds or Wolves?
It is very unlikely.
It is very likely that the left-back will go into the Under-23 set-up at Leeds or Wolves.
Would that help Couto in his development?
