Sue Smith has praised Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto for his performance against Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The former Leeds United Women FC and England international player has said on Sky Sports News (4:48pm, September 2, 2023) that Wilfried Gnonto looked lively against Sheffield Wednesday.
Smith was following the Championship match between the two Yorkshire clubs for Sky Sports News.
Gnonto started for Leeds and played for the entire 90 minutes.
The Italy international started on the left of an attacking midfield-three in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
The match ended in a goalless draw.

Smith said about Gnonto in the 88th minute: “He has looked good, he looks lively every time he gets the ball, he wants to beat his man, he created opportunities, he has a couple of opportunities himself.”
Wilfried Gnonto is one of the best young players in the Championship and is a big player for Leeds United.
The 19-year-old Italy international winger is an explosive player, and he did show that against Wednesday.
The winger was a problem for the Wednesday defenders whenever he had the ball at his feet.
During his time on the pitch at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, Gnonto took three shots, played four key passes, had a pass accuracy of 82.9%, took 74 touches, attempted six dribbles, made two tackles and two clearances, and put in five crosses.
