Leeds United will reportedly have to pay £50 million if they want to sign David Brooks from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.
WalesOnline reported in August of interest in Brooks from promoted Premier League club Leeds.
Tottenham Hotspur are also reported to be looking at signing the 23-year-old Wales international.
However, it seems that the Whites will have to pay a lot if they want to bring the youngster to Elland Road this summer.
The Sun has claimed that Bournemouth are looking for as much as £50 million in transfer fees for Brooks, with Leicester City interested in him.
Unlikely Leeds United transfer
Brooks is a very good and promising young midfielder who is only 23 years of age and would get better working with Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa.
Manchester United legend and Wales national team manager Ryan Giggs described him as “a talent” and “one of the most exciting players” he has “seen for a long time” in Clwbpeldroed.org in February 2020.
However, £50 million does sound a lot, and it is hard to see the Whites spend that kind of money on a single player this summer.
