The Spurs defender has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Manchester City this week.
This week has seen Tottenham Hotspur and England left-back Danny Rose linked with a move to both Manchester City and Manchester United.
The Daily Mirror reported earlier this week that both clubs are looking to sign the Spurs defender for £25 million.
That would of course be a bitter blow for Spurs, but one club will surely hope that a deal can be done.

Leeds United will no doubt hope he will be sold on, as they are entitled to a percentage of any deal.
Rose, from Doncaster, came through the ranks at Leeds but never made a first-team appearance for the club before heading to Tottenham in 2007.
Fans at the club are obviously not pleased Leeds lost the 26-year-old in the first place but he could still be of a huge benefit to the club. The Yorkshire Evening Post reported in 2015 that Leeds will receive 10 per cent of any profit made on Rose’s transfer fee – so that could be a figure of £2.4 million according to the latest reports and Rose’s fee to join Spurs of around £1 million.

That money could go toward the permanent transfer of Pontus Jansson, Charlie Taylor’s new contract or a new player entirely to freshen up the squad.
So Leeds fans might not be too disappointed if this former player ends up in Manchester.
