Leeds United hold an interest in Exeter City’s Ollie Watkins.
Ollie Watkins of Exeter City (L) scores their second goal
The prolific form of young striker Ollie Watkins has caught the attention of Leeds United, with Garry Monk interested in the Exeter City attacker.
The Sun (12/3 p61) reported the Whites are contemplating a summer move, but it will not come cheap.
Interest from rival Championship clubs has been mooted through the season, with The Sun previously reporting Brighton were keen, and the same paper claiming last month that Norwich City and Derby County hold an interest.
Exeter are by now used to Watins attracting interest, it is no surprise given that he has bagged 13 goals and provided nine assists this season.

Grecians boss Paul Tisdale told last month how Exeter rejected ‘considerable’ offers for the forward, confident they will get even better offers in the summer for the 21-year-old.
He told The BBC: “We could easily have let him go and taken some considerable money, but I think we’ll get more at some point not too far in the future.”
The Derby Telegraph reported last month that Watkins is valued at around £2 million, a fee which could easily rise if a bidding war emerges.
Last summer Leeds paid £3 million to sign Kemar Roofe from Oxford, and the year before that they paid £3 million to land Chris Wood from Leicester City. Each are the highest fees Leeds have paid for a single player over the past decade.
Interest in Watkins could end up with Leeds paying £3 million for a third consecutive year, especially with Exeter’s determination to hold out for as much as they can.
