Leeds United are set to sign Weston McKennie with the Juventus midfielder is heading to England to finalise his move to Elland Road today.
That’s according to Sky Italia, who report that McKennie will be travelling to England to undergo a medical.
Fabrizio Romano reports the same, suggesting that McKennie and his agent will be in the UK later today.
Sky Italia add that Leeds sporting director Victor Orta has a strong relationship with his opposite number Giovanni Manna at Juventus.
That connection seemingly helped Leeds secure a deal for McKennie despite interest from a number of other clubs.
It’s added that Leeds have agreed to pay €1.5million (£1million) to take McKennie on loan with the option to buy him for around €35million (£31million).
Yet Sky Italia suggest that Leeds may look to renegotiate that deal in order to facilitate a summer transfer.
McKennie’s move will permanent with certain conditions being met, but if not, Leeds can then renegotiate the deal.

Weston McKennie adds to Leeds United’s American influence
Leeds are going to end up calling themselves a ‘franchise’ at this rate.
The Whites have an American boss in charge with Jesse Marsch currently in the dugout.
Leeds then added two American internationals over the summer with Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams arriving to reunite with Marsch.
Add in that 49ers Enterprises are expected to take over the club in the near future and Leeds have a strong American flavour right now.
McKennie will only add to that, and he seems to be a great fit for Marsch.
Hailed as ‘relentless’ by his former USA youth coach Tab Ramos, McKennie is a quality box-to-box midfielder and already understands how Adams works in midfield.
That could give Leeds a top partnership in the middle of the park, hopefully aiding their push to stay in the Premier League.
