Hull City’s Robert Snodgrass says he can’t wait to face Leeds United once again.
Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass has revealed the first club he looked for in the fixture list was old side Leeds United.
Snodgrass’ club were relegated from the Premier League into the Championship on the final day of the season.
It means he will have the opportunity to face the Whites for the first time since being sold to Norwich City for £3 million in 2012, as reported the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The 27-year-old took to Twitter on fixture release day to convey his excitement at the prospect of facing his former team.
Snodgrass signed for Hull last summer for twice the fee Norwich paid for him after the Canaries were relegated. His debut season with the Tigers was ruined by a serious knee injury just one game in.
| Team | Season | Passing Accuracy | Goals | Assist | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Robert Snodgrass | Hull City | 2014-2015 | 82% | 0 | 0 | 1 | 40 |
| Robert Snodgrass | Norwich | 2013-2014 | 76% | 6 | 2 | 30 | 2,572 |
A drop down to the Championship will allow Snodgrass to get back to his best, although he will be under no illusions as to the physical challenge of the division.
Snodgrass returns to Elland Road with Hull on December 5, and Leeds travel to the KC Stadium on April 23, three games from the end of the season.
