Paul Merson has predicted on SportsKeeda that Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United will win against Watford at Elland Road this weekend.

However, the former Arsenal and Aston Villa star has warned Bielsa that opposition teams have started to work out Leeds.

The Sky Sports pundit believes that Leeds will pick up all three points from their Premier League game against Watford at Elland Road on Saturday.

Merson has backed the Whites to win 3-1.

The Englishman told SportsKeeda: “As I said before, I like watching Leeds United. They play entertaining football, but the 2021-22 Premier League season has been tough for Marcelo Bielsa and co so far.

“Watford, on the other hand, are lethal on the counterattack and have a lot of pace on the flanks.

“If Leeds United don’t beat Watford at home – more so when they are desperate for a win – one would start to worry about them.

“There’s already a suspicion that teams have sussed them out, but I fancy them to hit the ground running and record a comfortable win this weekend.”

A footnote added: “Prediction: Leeds United 3-1 Watford”.

Should Leeds United worry?

Leeds have not exactly played badly so far this season.

The West Yorkshire club did well against Newcastle United and West Ham United in the Premier League.

The problem is that Leeds are simply not scoring enough and are also conceded at bad moments.

Leeds are creating chances, and that is certainly positive.

There is no need for the Elland Road fateful to panic just yet.

There are three worse teams in the Premier League than Leeds, who should be fine come the end of the season.

However, it is important that Leeds start winning matches.

The West Yorkshire club will fancy their chances of picking up all three points against promoted club Watford.
