Three Leeds United players have picked up four yellow cards this season.
With the passing of 19 Championship matches, three Leeds United players have now stepped off the disciplinary tightrope, at least for now, with Samu Saiz, Luke Ayling and Pablo Hernandez all collecting four bookings so far this season.
Had they picked up a fifth it would have resulted in an automatic one-game ban. However that risk has now passed, with the scenario now changing to 10 bookings between now and the 37th game of the campaign.
If any Leeds player collects a total of 10 bookings before then, they will face two matches out of the team, but at least Saiz, Ayling and Hernandez can breathe a little easier now.
Saiz in particular has been outstanding for Leeds since arriving last summer and the prospect of being without him, even for just one match, is not something Whites fans would want to consider right now.
Hernandez and Ayling have been slightly more hit-and-miss, as have many of their Leeds teammates, but all three are clearly a vital part of manager Thomas Christiansen’s plans and they should start more often than not in the months ahead.
Next up for Leeds is a home match against Aston Villa on Friday evening and if the Whites win that one comfortably, they can climb back into the top six.
