It has been reported that Leeds United are interested in a transfer for Julian Quinones.
The Colombian striker has scored 16 goals as a whole this season for Mexican club Atlas.
As Julian Quinones continues to grab the headlines in Mexico, it seems he has caught Leeds United’s eye over a potential transfer.
Leeds keen on transfer for Julian Quinones
The Whites have had their fair share of problems in the striking department this campaign, with Patrick Bamford scoring a mere three goals in the Premier League so far.
As for Georginio Rutter, despite the hype that surrounded his arrival, it seems as if he is still viewed as a raw prospect that needs time to flourish.

However, Leeds may be convinced with a potential transfer for Julian Quinones, who is ‘similar’ to Viktor Gyokeres, according to FbRef as reported by Soy Futbol.
The report claims that the 26-year-old could be a ‘possible reinforcement’ for Javi Gracia’s side alongside Serie A clubs like Torino and Sampdoria.
It has been emphasised that so far, no approach has been made to sign the prolific marksman as of yet.
HITC View: Leeds need a new No.9 no matter what
While only time will tell whether Leeds are serious in their intentions about a transfer involving Julian Quinones, there is no running away from their requirement of a striker.
A key reason why the club managed to not just survive relegation but finish in 9th place under Marcelo Bielsa in their return to the English top-flight was due to Patrick Bamford firing.
And perhaps a major factor behind why Javi Gracia and Co. find themselves in and amongst the relegation scrap is also due to the absence of a reliable goalscorer.
Whether that is Quinones or any other talented marksman, Leeds must do everything in their power to wrap up a deal for a striker next season.
