Leeds United are hoping to sign Kyle Bartley.

Leeds United’s hopes of signing Kyle Bartley have been placed under threat due to injury.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported at the weekend that Leeds have initiated talks with Swansea City over a summer deal.

Now concerns of a knee injury place Leeds’ hopes in jeopardy.

PremierInjuries.com report Bartley has been suffering with knee ligament pain and missed training late last week.

The website’s Ben Dinnery report a scan has shown the centre-back suffered ‘damage’ to the knee.

Bartley starred on loan at Leeds last season but Swans boss Paul Clement nixed their hopes of a permanent deal.

He has since been sacked and Bartley has fallen down the Swansea pecking order.

It is unclear how serious the knee injury is at this stage to Bartley but he did miss five months of action due to a medial ligament knee injury suffered playing for the Swans back in September.

A serious injury would scupper Leeds hopes of signing Bartley as he would not be fit to pass a medical or for the start of net season.
