Leeds United – The worst luck with referees in the Championship?

Leeds United have conceded the most penalties in the Championship this season, while Charlton and Cardiff are yet to have any given against them.

Not much is going right for Massimo Cellino’s side on or off the pitch of late.

Leeds United are closer to the relegation zone than the play-offs in the Championship, while the owner is having to appeal a ban disqualifying him from remaining in charge of the club until March.

Making matters worse, is their terrible luck with referees.

Leeds have conceded more penalties in the Championship than any other team, and are one of only`two teams not to be awarded a single spot kick themselves this campaign, along with Sheffield Wednesday.

Charlton and Cardiff have enjoyed the most fortune – not having a single one given against them. High flying sides Middlesbrough and Bournemouth have by contrast been awarded 11 combined.

The problem for Leeds fans is at the minute, the way things are going, if they did get one given in their favour against Forest this weekend, they’d probably miss.
