Leeds United transfer target Leo Stulac has big hopes.

Leeds United have been linked with a move for Venezia midfielder Leo Stulac.

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reported that Leeds are eyeing the Serie B ace, who has one year left on his contract.

Stulac has actually been discussing his future this week and has high hopes.

He told local newspaper La Nuova di Venezia that he wants to sign for a ‘world class’ club and even dreams of Real Madrid.

Stulac also backtracked by saying he was happy to stay put for now.

He said: “I’m happy with what I have, but like all players, my dream would be to reach a world-class club. I do not delude myself, today is already a great thing to wear the shirt of Venezia and I will try to do my best for this shirt. Getting to Serie A with Venezia would be great. I do not know the future. Real Madrid, who would not want it?

“In January I had the chance to go to another club, but I chose to stay and I did well. My club is Venezia.”

Leeds can only rely on their past reputation as a world class club to try and attract Stulac but they can point to their huge crowds and rich history.

Venezia’s stadium the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo has a capacity of just 7,450 and even then they do not fill it out weekly.

The team are currently trying to secure a play-off spot, sitting in fifth place at present.

Promotion could prompt Stulac to decide to reject Leeds’ advances.
