Leeds United have their eye on Ireland under-19 international Ali Reghba, The Irish Sun reported this week.

Reghba is lined up for a trial with Middlesbrough but Leeds reportedly want to hijack the deal.

Reghba is an exciting striker who has broken into the first team for League of Ireland side Bohemians this season and already found the back of the net.

The 18-year-old is a player with high potential, and one who in his own words is striving to emulate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Speaking to The League of Ireland website last year, Reghba said he hopes to get close.

He said: “I relate to his style of play as the physical presence he delivers and he can also score goals.

“I like his attitude, he has the “I can do anything” and with determination that’s what you can achieve.

“Knowing his back ground as well, that he came from nothing to what he is today, is extraordinary and I hope to be there one day.”

Zlatan’s indomitable self-confidence would have appealed to Leeds fans if he ever starred at Elland Road, and if Reghba has the attitude and talent to match, he will also be a hit.

So far the young Ireland forward is making a name for himself, and a move to English football will help him achieve his dream.
