Stoke City and Bournemouth are both said to be interested in signing Lewis Cook from Leeds United.
Leeds United supporters have urged the club not to sell Lewis Cook, regardless of the price they are offered for the midfielder in January.
The Daily Star has suggested that Stoke City and Bournemouth have joined the race for Cook, with Liverpool and Manchester United already interested.
Leeds are said to have placed a £10 million price-tag on the central-midfielder, but Whites supporters feel that value is not enough.
Leeds supporters have seen Cook develop from a promising youngster into a first team star at Elland Road, and they are keen not to lose him.
The 18-year-old already looks to be a class above many of the players in the squad at Elland Road, and there is great excitement over his future.
To lose him so early in his career would be a major blow for Leeds fans, who are desperate for their club to fend off all bids in the January transfer window.
It’s Saul Or Nothing commented: “Personally I wouldn’t consider anything less than £15million.
“And I know it’s premature to be saying this but if we’re ever to rival the top teams in England again then it’s essential we keep hold of our best young players.
“Imagine if the likes of West Ham and Southampton had kept all theirs over the years, they’d be formidable. We could’ve been as well.”
His opinion was backed up by Writers Holiday: “If we sell our best players its division 1 for us – we’ll have enough trouble staying up as it is if we keep performing like we did on Saturday. It seemed only Dallas and Antenucci wanted to be on the pitch!”
Perksy felt that a £10 million bid would be far too little for a player of Cook’s ability: “A 10 million tag is way off the mark considering the price of some English dross these days!
“Cook is a future star, be for Leeds or someone else so if we drag our feet any longer getting out of this league then no doubt he will go, just please Lewis… Don’t go to Man United!!”
David Martin Skinns had the final word, saying: We “shouldn’t let him go at any cost. If he did want to leave then I hope he leaves for a team who gives him first team straight away or they will just waste his talent.
“Also if we did let him go we need to be clever and stick a 25 per cent sell on clause, as he will probably get sold on if he went Stoke or Bournemouth.
“But as he is first team here he would benefit in long run here rather than sit on a bench then farmed out on loan.”
Cook has made 15 appearances so far this season for Leeds, scoring once.
