Leeds United announced earlier on Monday they have appointed a new chief executive.
The club’s official website confirmed Ben Mansford is the new man at the helm, leaving fellow Championship side Barnsley, who were promoted from League One last month.
The Leeds United Supporters Trust reacted positively to the news, hoping it would be the start of increased transparency at the club, through open dialogue with fans.
Mansford’s appointment allows club owner Massimo Cellino to take a backseat, which is generally seen as a positive.

The Whites are hoping to put together a promotion winning campaign this season after several seasons of mediocrity, failing to even get into the top 10 under Cellino.
Leeds had been without a chief executive since last Autumn when Adam Pearson resigned, having been appointed just months earlier.
All concerned with the club will be hoping Mansford will be in it for the long haul.
