Leeds United ace Stuart Dallas faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines – and former Whites star Ezgjan Alioski has sent him a message of support.
Leeds were beaten 4-0 by Manchester City on Saturday evening.
Losing heavily to City maybe wasn’t a huge surprise but the real blow came with injuries to Dallas and Liam Cooper.
Cooper picked up a knock before the game ever started whilst Dallas came off worst in a clash with Jack Grealish.
Dallas was immediately stretchered off and has been diagnosed with a fractured femur.
The Northern Ireland international now faces a long road back to recovery and it’s unclear when he will play again.
This is a huge blow for Leeds. Dallas is a versatile and consistent performer who gives his all for Leeds week in and week out.
Leeds still aren’t safe from relegation and losing a leader like Dallas for the run-in severely dents Jesse Marsch’s hopes of staying up.
We’re unlikely to see Dallas play again in 2022 and most of next season may be lost for the 31-year-old.
Coming back from that injury in his 30’s may be difficult for Dallas but if anybody can show the fight and resolve to return, it’s Dallas.

Dallas took to Twitter on Tuesday to post a message from hospital, thanking everybody for their support as he prepares to start his long road to recovery.
Dallas received responses from a number of fans and even former Leeds hero Lucas Radebe.
There was also a reply from former Leeds favourite Ezgjan Alioski, who became something of a cult hero at Elland Road.
The Macedonian international played alongside Dallas throughout his time at Leeds and sent him a message of support.
Alioski simply stated that Dallas will ‘come back stronger’ from this injury, backing him to fight through this blow and return even better than ever.
