Leeds striker Patrick Bamford sent a message with his display.

Patrick Bamford’s clinical two goal performance for Leeds United at the weekend was a perfect response to Eddie Nketiah’s arrival.
Nketiah made his debut in midweek and scored for Leeds in a win over Salford.
Bamford came on in that game and couldn’t find the net himself when presented with a late chance.
There was a case for Marcelo Bielsa to go with the confident Nketiah at the weekend.
Instead he stuck with Bamford, and the striker repaid Bielsa by scoring the only two goals of the game.
Bielsa will have been thrilled with Bamford’s performance, and he has thrown the gauntlet back down to Nketiah.

Nketiah was with Leeds’ under-23 side yesterday as they took on Millwall.
The loanee was brought in to give Leeds’ options, and raise the level of competition at the club.
Bamford had two options, go into his shell and let the pressure get to him, or come out firing and respond by delivering on the pitch.
There is a long season ahead, but Leeds’ early form bodes well and the competition for places up front certainly helps.
