Leeds forward Mallik Wilks continues to impress.

Leeds United striker Mallik Wilks continues to get game time under his belt for Accrington Stanley.
The 18-year-old is on loan at the League Two side, where he made an immediate impact by scoring on his debut in August.
He has made steady progress since, netting twice more in September, with his overall record standing at three goals in nine appearances.

The most recent of those appearances came last night in a Checkatrade Trophy match with Blackpool.
Wilks did not manage to score, but he did everything but, putting in a lively performance in the 2-1 defeat.

Wilks hit the post late in the second half, denying himself the chance to once again be the side’s hero.
Accrington’s official website praised his performance in their match report, writing: “Wilks fashioned out the first chance of the second period with a fantastic piece of individual play, he turned well outside the area but couldn’t keep his shot down.”
Wilks is still a raw talent, but he is better off developing playing competitive ‘men’s football’ than spending another season with Leeds’ under-23 side.
Still only a teenager, he is showing he has a chance of carving out a successful career, and parent club Leeds shoul continue to be encouraged by his displays.
