Billy Sharp helped Sheffield United beat rivals Leeds United in the Championship on Saturday.

Leeds striker Kemar Roofe has stated that he ‘respects’ what Billy Sharp has done this season and labelled the Sheffield United man as ‘dangerous’.
The 33-year-old has been in scintillating form for Chris Wilder’s side this season and recently helped his team beat the Whites 1-0 at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
Despite not getting on the scoresheet, Sharp did assist Chris Basham for the only goal of the game as Sheffield United increased their chances of finishing in the Championship’s top two.
Speaking to EFL on Quest (16/03/2019 9:05 pm), the currently injured Roofe shared some classy comments about his striker counterpart.
“I just love football no matter who it is,” Roofe told Quest. “I respect you if you are doing the right things, good at it and nice to watch. I like that. What he [Sharp] has done this season is dangerous.”
If Wilder’s side earn promotion to the Premier League this season then a large part of that success will be down to Sharp’s form in front of goal.

Over the course of the campaign, the Sheffield-born player has 22 goals and supplied three assists from his 34 league matches [transfermarkt].
The Blades are currently one point ahead of their Yorkshire neighbours in the table, with the race to the promised land set to go down to the wire.
It is looking very likely that two of either Norwich, Sheffield United and Leeds will finish in the top two, with the other dropping into the dreaded play-offs.
