He has been speaking to the press today about his season so far and was asked whether he had a goal target for the campaign.

But he was more open on his feeling about why he might be scoring more goals this term.
He explained how this Leeds United team was simply creating more chances than they were last term.

“That’s the best thing about last season to this season is that we’re creating a lot more. We’ve got players that are good at creating chances.
“It’s a nice thing when you’re getting five or six chances per game you’re going to put two or three of them away.
“Last season we were only creating one or two. It just didn’t give us a chance to win games.”

Garry Monk and the Leeds United hierarchy brought in players such as Pablo Hernandez, Kemar Roofe and Hadi Sacko in the summer, all of whom have added something to the team going forward – especially the Spanish midfield maestro.
Wood is clearly relishing in the current Leeds United atmosphere and it is paying off with his goalscoring antics this term.
Hopefully that can continue, along with Leeds’ play-off push.
