Leeds hope to sign Kyle Bartley.

Leeds United are hoping to seal a return for centre-back Kyle Bartley, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported last month.

They may be getting a helping hand, with Bartley currently on holiday with Leeds defender Luke Ayling, and their partners.

Ayling’s girlfriend Poppy Weller is playing up the potential transfer, posting a message on Instagram stories last night.

She posted a message of herself and Bartley, with the message ‘working on it #LUFC’.

Ayling and Bartley played in the same Arsenal youth team and were reunited in 2016/17 at Leeds United.

Bartley was only on loan and returned to Swansea City, and his future remains unclear following the club’s relegation last season.

He was on the fringes of the XI after an injury hit season, but that has not diminished calls from Leeds fans who want him back to renew his partnership at the back with Pontus Jansson.
