Leeds United scored an injury time equaliser against Newcastle yesterday.

Whites stopper Robert Green spoke to LUTV after his side’s hard-earned draw with Newcastle United yesterday, and shared his belief that his side didn’t do enough with the ball at St James’ Park.
Leeds cemented their place inside the top six with their point against the Magpies and currently hold a three point lead over seventh placed Fulham.
Garry Monk’s men welcome Paul Lambert’s Wolverhampton Wanderers to Elland Road on Monday, and a victory will be an absolute necessity if they are to finish inside the play-off spots.
And the 37-year-old told LUTV how the Leeds boss quizzed the players about their performance in the aftermath of the match, and shared how they responded:

“The manager asked us what we thought of the performance, and we unanimously said ‘we need to do better on the ball’. Second half in particular we didn’t ask enough questions, but we stuck in there, and no matter how badly you play you always get a chance. We managed to stick at it and got some sort of reward in the end.”
Green joined the West Yorkshire outfit on a free transfer in the summer of 2016, and has proven to be a fantastic signing for the club. They currently have the third best defensive record in the division, and if they do go on to achieve promotion to the Premier League, one would imagine that they will need to be at their defensive and most stubborn best for the remainder of their campaign.
