Leeds United star shares his experience of playing with Kane and Vardy

Leeds United striker Chris Wood played with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy at Leicester City.

Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy are two of the most well-known strikers in the Premier League.

While Kane has been starring for Tottenham Hotspur for the past two-and-a-half seasons, Vardy was a key figure in Leicester City’s league triumph during the 2015-16 campaign.

Leeds United striker Chris Wood played with Kane and Vardy at Leicester in 2013. The New Zealand international has revealed that he got on well both the players.

“They were both great guys and I got on really well with them both,” Wood told The Sun about Kane and Vardy.

“Jamie is a great player who always had good pace and a great work ethic, whereas Harry had the technique. You could see that from day one, his right and left foot technique was unbelievable.

“He was always well respected at Tottenham, so you knew he was going to go back there and be a focal point for them.

“Their success gives me confidence. Those players have gone on to do great things and do really well in the Premier League.”

Wood has been in stunning form for Leeds so far this season and is playing a key role in the Whites’ quest to finish in the top six of the Championship.

The 25-year-old striker has scored 20 goals and provided two assists for the West Yorkshire outfit so far this campaign.

During the 2015-16 season, Wood scored 12 goals and created 39 chances in 35 league matches for the Whites.

Leeds are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 61 points from 34 matches.

Garry Monk’s side will return to action on Friday evening when they take on Birmingham City away from home at St. Andrew’s in the Championship.
