Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich is celebrating signing a new contract at Elland Road.
Klich’s contract was set to expire next summer and BBC Sport report the new deal will run until June 2024.
It is reward for the Poland international after he established himself as a first choice player over the past two seasons under Marcelo Bielsa.
Klich yesterday sent a message expressing his happiness at signing the deal, with a post on Instagram.
It is easy to forget at this point how badly Klich’s first season at Leeds went. He was loaned out to FC Twente after failing to make an impact.
New manager Marcelo Bielsa took an instant liking to him and he is now a regular for the Whites.
Klich has made 16 starts this season in the Championship out of a possible 16. Leeds sit in third place, just two points off the top.
