Leeds United’s campaign has ended in terribly disappointing fashion, after promising so much earlier on in the season.

Whites on-loan star Kyle Bartley spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and expressed his frustration that he and his teammates have missed out on the play-off spots this season, suggesting that they have not been brave enough.
Garry Monk’s Leeds side were superb for the first three quarters of the season, before hitting a poor run of form at the worst time possible, winning just once in their last seven Championship outings.
The 25-year-old centre-back has proved to be a fantastic addition the the Whites’ squad this season, but it is looking highly likely that he will return to parent club Swansea City at the end of this current campaign.
And if that happens, it will be a huge blow to the West Yorkshire outfit’s hopes of achieving promotion next term.
He spoke to LeedsUnited.com and shared a reason why his side found the going so tough against Norwich City at the weekend:

“In the first half we weren’t brave enough as players and we didn’t take enough responsibility, we waited for things to happen to then show a response. In this league you can’t give away a three goal lead and expect to come back in games.”
Monk’s side, although packed full with potential, ultimately showed their frailties, with a lack of experienced heads in and amongst the dressing room eventually proving to be costly.
And that could very well be a particular area where they will look to improve on next season, buy targeting players with more Championship experience during the summer.
