Leeds United are said to be closing in on the signing of Oliver McBurnie.

Leeds United could completely transform their strike force with just two signings this summer.

Leeds have struggled to find a prolific scorer this season, with Pierre Michel Lasogga arguably proving himself as their best option up-front.

Lasogga’s loan spell is due to expire at the end of the campaign though, and it seems unlikely that Leeds will move to sign him on a permanent deal from Hamburg.

The Whites already appear to be looking at other targets, with the Scottish Sun suggesting that Oliver McBurnie is set to sign for Leeds from Swansea City.

That would be a great start to Paul Heckingbottom’s side’s summer business, but that should not be the only addition they make up-front.

With West Ham United reportedly making Jordan Hugill available for loan, as reported by Football.London, Leeds should renew their interest in the former Preston man to completely renovate their attacking options.

Hugill and McBurnie could form a brilliant partnership for Leeds up-top, as they are both proven scorers at Championship level.

And Heckingbottom should then keep Tyler Roberts and Kemar Roofe around to use in reserve.

Roofe and Roberts could provide Leeds with the pace, with Hugill and McBurnie offering the Whites power.

And if Leeds can have the quartet as their attacking options next season, then they will finally have the firepower required to mount a push for promotion.
