Leeds United have signed Madger Gomes following his release from Liverpool.

Leeds United have announced on their official website that they have secured the services of Madger Gomes.

As announced on Leeds’s official website, Gomes has joined the Whites following his release from Premier League club Liverpool.

The 20-year-old Spanish midfielder has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Championship club.

Gomes, though, will not be part of the first team just yet; instead, the talented and promising youngster will initially lineup with Leeds’s Under-23 side, with a view to training with the first team.

“I’m really excited and happy to start life with Leeds United, I hope to have a good season here,” Gomes told Leeds’s official website.

“Hopefully I will get a chance to progress and make the first team as my dream is to play professionally.”

Gomes joined Liverpool back in 2014, but the Spanish youngster failed to feature in a single Premier League game for the Reds.

The Spaniard will be aiming to impress for the Under-23 team; if he does that, then he will get the chance to play for the first team.

Leeds will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship next season after narrowly failing to clinch a playoff spot during the 2016-17 campaign.
