Albert Adomah was on the bench for Aston Villa during their 3-2 defeat against Leeds United.
The signs are not looking good for Leeds United winger Jack Harrison despite his side’s dramatic win at Aston Villa over the weekend.
The Manchester City loanee, who started out wide at Villa Park, was substituted at halftime for teenager Jack Clarke, who made an instant impact in the five-goal thriller.
Throughout the season, Harrison, who has scored & assisted only one goal during this campaign, has struggled to deliver the goods on the flanks for the Championship leaders.
There is no doubt that Leeds are seriously knocking on the door of the Premier League, but in order to gain that extra push, they replaced their struggling attacker with Villa’s experienced man Albert Adomah.
Straight off the bat, the Villa winger would be a better fit than Harrison and he would suit Bielsa’s high pressing game.
Last season under Steve Bruce, Adomah was known for his high work rate, both from a defensive standpoint and an attacking standpoint.
Added with that, the 31-year-old is now working under a manager who attacks high up the pitch and instructs his players to press from the front at all times – therefore, he wouldn’t need any bedding in period.
Then you look towards what he can provide, both on the pitch and off the pitch for Bielsa’s men. Adomah understands what it takes to earn promotion after he helped Middlesbrough reach the promised land in 2016.
Not only that, in the past two seasons, he has scored 17 goals and provided 16 assists for Villa, instantly proving that he is a threat in the attacking third.
Adomah’s pace, directness, trickery and ability to play on both flanks would improve a Leeds side that are marching on towards greatness.
