Leeds United should take advantage of Bologna’s long standing interest in Giuseppe Bellusci.
Leeds United have been trying to get rid of unwanted defender Giuseppe Bellusci for the past year and the perfect opportunity may just have come up.
Yesterday Leeds were linked with Bologna centre-back Filip Helander, an international teammate of Pontus Jansson, with Goal.com reporting the Whites are interested in signing the Sweden defender.

Like Jansson, Helander is a quality player whose Serie A spell has been affected by injury. He even shares the same agent as the Leeds cult hero.
Where it gets interesting is Bologna are long term admirers of Leeds outcast Bellusci, who is looking for a new club.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reported last week Bologna were leading a small pack of clubs in the chase for Bellusci, and Leeds should turn this to their advantage.
Leeds’ Giuseppe Bellusci
Whether it be a straight swap, or a cash plus player exchange, it would be a terrific deal for Leeds, and one which would leave supporters happy.
It would provide the Whites with the centre-back they need to replace Kyle Bartley, and one who Jansson has already got a rapport with, crucial if Leeds’ backline is to be as effective as it was last season.
Bellusci needs to find a new club before the season starts, and if Bologna can be talked into letting Helander leave as part of the deal, if might just be Leeds’ most crucial and fan pleasing deal of the transfer window.
