The 20-year-old Irishman is not likely to get first-team football at Elland Road.
Leeds United are undoubtedly one of the best producers of young talent in English football. The likes of Charlie Taylor, Ronaldo Vieira and Kalvin Phillips are all currently thriving in the Leeds first-team.
But there are plenty of young players at the club who are having to wait for their first-team chance. One such player is Eoghan Stokes.
Leeds United manager Steve Evans (R)
The Irish forward is highly-rated at the club but first-team opportunities appear to be lacking for the 20-year-old.
So, should Leeds consider sending him out on loan?
If they do there will surely be an interested party at Mansfield Town.
Leeds’ manager Steve Evans
Steve Evans is their manager, of course he left his role as head coach at Leeds in the summer.
During his time at the club he spoke highly of Stokes and even admitted in the spring that, were it not for an injury to Stokes, he would have made his Leeds debut last season.
Evans could certainly do with a player of Stokes quality down in League Two and he could gain some valuable match experience in heading to Field Mill for the rest of the campaign.
