Leeds United have made one signing so far this summer, bringing in Hadi Sacko from Sporting Lisbon.

Leeds United have been linked with a move for Alexandru Maxim in Lattenkreutz recently, but they should not go through with the transfer.
Leeds have been long-term admirers of Maxim, having been linked as far back as last summer.
The Stuttgart attacker reportedly came on to Leeds’ wishlist back in 2016, and the Whites have kept an eye on him ever since.

Maxim could now be available this summer, but Leeds should avoid making a bid.
Leeds simply cannot afford to gamble with their budget, after coming so close to promotion in the past season.
Leeds have proven that they only need to make a few tweaks to their team, to earn a play off spot, after finishing in seventh place.

And, as a result, the Whites should be looking to bring in proven players at Championship level.
Maxim may turn out to be a great buy, but there is simply too much risk with untested players, as Marcos Antonsson’s struggles this season show.
And if Leeds are serious about promotion, they should be looking to minimise the gambles they take in the transfer market this summer.
