Leeds United would be wise to make a move for Quique Sanchez Flores as an upgrade on Paul Heckingbottom.

Leeds United now have the chance to appoint Quique Sanchez Flores, which would surely be a popular appointment at Elland Road.
Sanchez Flores has previously been linked with Leeds, but the Whites have never been able to get a deal for the Spanish manager over the line.
They arguably will never have a better opportunity than now to do so, though, and Andrea Radrizzani must seriously consider making a switch.

Paul Heckingbottom may have led Leeds to victory over Barnsley, but there is no doubting that he is under pressure at Elland Road already.
Leeds have slipped from the edge of the play offs into mid-table under his stewardship, and he has still only won three games since being appointed.
Sanchez Flores, on the other hand, has done an impressive job at Watford in England – keeping them in the Premier League comfortably.

And even at Espanyol his results could hardly be considered awful, even though the Spanish side have been a slight disappointment in La Liga this season.
Sanchez Flores’ CV is unquestionably more impressive that Heckingbottom’s.
And with the 53-year-old now on the market, Leeds would be foolish to not consider bringing him in.
