Leeds United should move for Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan

Leeds United should attempt to bring in Scott Hogan from Aston Villa in January.

According to a report on The Sun on Sunday (print edition, 29th October 2017, page 65) Aston Villa could sell Scott Hogan in January, and Leeds United should seriously consider moving for the forward.

Leeds sold Chris Wood in the summer transfer window, and the signs are that they have not adequately replace the New Zealand international.

Wood scored 30 goals for Leeds last term, before moving to Burnley back in August.

The Whites acted to bring in Pierre-Michel Lasogga to replace Wood, but the target man has failed to impress recently.

Lasogga actually made a bright start to his Leeds career, but more recently he has not looked up to scratch.

Leeds should now seriously consider bringing in Hogan, as he could be the man to turn their season around.

The Whites have started to slide down the Championship table, after an impressive run of form at the start of the campaign.

And Leeds clearly need to inject some quality, if they are to keep pace with the rest of the promotion chasers.

Hogan has endured a difficult time at Villa, and has only one goal to his name since moving to the Midlands.

However, the 25-year-old has previously proven a clinical finisher at Championship level, and Leeds should not be put off by his recent struggles.

Hogan scored 21 times in 26 Championship appearances for Brentford, and he would bring pace and energy to Leeds’ strike force, if Thomas Christiansen was able to bring in him Elland Road in the new year.
