Manchester United-owned Aston Villa goalkeeper Sam Johnstone would be a good signing for Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

Sam Johnstone may have struggled to make an impact at Manchester United, but the goalkeeper has been superb for Aston Villa this season and Leeds United should make a move for him in the summer transfer window.
Johnstone has been a key figure in Villa’s 2017-18 Championship campaign, as Steve Bruce’s side continue to challenge for an automatic promotion spot.
Currently on a season-long loan deal at Villa Park, the 24-year-old would be a great signing for Leeds for the 2018-19 campaign, even if the West Yorkshire outfit have to pay what United (reportedly) want for him.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils want £6.5 million as transfer fees in order to part company with Johnstone permanently.
Leeds have a major problem in goal, and signing Johnstone for just £6.5m would solve that.
Felix Wiedwald has made quite a lot of mistakes and has been dropped from the Whites’ starting lineup, Andy Lonergan has not been too convincing, while Bailey Peacock-Farrell is only 21 years of age and is still developing.

Leeds director of football Victor Orta can solve the issues the team have in goal by spending £6.5m and landing Johnstone.
True, Villa will be keen on making the deal permanent for the goalkeeper, who himself may not be keen to play another season in the Championship, but Leeds should at least make an offer.
