The 18-year-old is a very versatile footballer who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder.
The England Under-20 international has made a handful of appearances in the Premier League for the Hammers, and his performances have been encouraging.
Given that Oxford is only 18 and West Ham could make defensive signings in the summer transfer window, it is unlikely that the youngster will get much playing time at the London Stadium next season.

True, the youngster would not start week in and week out for Leeds next season – not in the opening weeks at least – but he would provide valuable cover both at centre-back and in defensive midfield.
